SPORTS MARKETING SURVEYS INC.’s John Whyte is the man with the task of collecting ‘What’s in The Bag’ information at every event on the European Tour (except for the Majors and World Golf Championship events that are held in the US).
This year Whyte will be at 40-plus golf events and will collect all of the relevant equipment information. The equipment data is collected during the first round of each tournament.
Along with his team, Whyte physically goes through every player’s bag when they’re warming up for their round.
Whyte has a list of the apparel and equipment that each tour player used in their last event. The details collected include brands and models for clubs, shafts and grips, along with lofts, shaft weights and flex…
